Frequently asked questions
How do I know if it's depression?
An evaluation will help determine a diagnosis. If your symptoms are a normal response to a difficult situation, we will let you know and suggest next steps.
Will I have to take medication?
No. We will explain your options so you can choose the approach that feels right for you.
How long does treatment take?
Antidepressants usually take four to six weeks to work fully. TMS is typically a six-week course. Some patients need short-term care, while others benefit from ongoing treatment.
Is TMS painful?
Most patients feel a light tapping on the scalp. Mild headache or scalp discomfort can occur early on and usually improves over time.
